Accommodation

We know that a good night’s sleep is important, especially when you’re traveling with lots of fun activities during the day.  We choose hostels and backpacker properties for their budget value as well as offering great facilities while always providing a warm, friendly atmosphere.

Moose Travel Network choose to stay in the best hostels Western Canada has to offer, and only use accommodation that meets our quality standards. By staying in shared rooms you get a chance to meet more people, hang out with other tour guests and keep the price as low as possible. The hostel staff are often travelers too and they’re great for helping plan your time in each destination, and can give you great local recommendations on where to eat, play and party!

Moose books your accommodation for each night of the tour so all you need to worry about is having fun! Moose reserves a single bed per passenger every night in coed hostel dorm rooms.  You simply pay for your bed when you arrive at the hostel or you can purchase the optional Accommodation Package.

You must only make your own reservation if

a) you would like to upgrade to a private room,

b) you choose to stay in a different hostel/hotel

c) for your final night of the tour if you finish in Vancouver

Here is a list of our preferred hostels in Western Canada.  Prices range from CAD$25 to $75 plus tax per person per night for a dorm bed.

Pre-paid accommodation packages

Make life on the tour as simple as possible by choosing the pre-paid accommodation package. By purchasing this option you will pre-pay for all your accommodation while on tour. This means you can sit back and not have to worry about any details while enjoying this epic journey.

These packages cover your accommodation costs for the standard nights of the trip, so you’re already paid up when you check in! You’ll still have to book and pay for your own accommodation both before and after your trip. If you decide to jump off the bus in our hub locations, you’ll need to book and pay for those extra nights yourself.

HI Athabasca Falls is a wilderness lodge - there is limited electricity, and water is hand pumped from a well! The best part is that you are in a rustic setting with nightly campfires and can watch the stars come out above the dense forest.
