Overview

Explore the heart of the Rocky Mountains with a trip through Banff and Jasper National Parks! This 3 day tour through the Canadian Rockies will take you on one of the most scenic highways in the world – The Icefields Parkway! You’ll discover amazing glacial lakes, snow-capped mountain peaks, pristine rivers, waterfalls, and wildlife everywhere you look. Departing Banff, the tour will head up to Lake Louise with half a day to hike and explore this iconic area. After visits to the Athabasca Glacier and Falls, we’ll spend a night in a rustic wilderness lodge in the forests just outside of the Jasper town center.

Soak up the awe inspiring Banff National Park Area, including Lake Louise, Moraine Lake (seasonal), Emerald Lake, Johnston Canyon, various wildlife, the massive Takkakaw Falls (seasonal) and more. Enjoy a real Canadian campfire tonight and look for the Milky Way!

  • Reservations for tonights accommodation are made at the HI Lake Louise
  • Take in the jagged mountain peaks, raging rivers and explore the Icefields Parkway. Today we see the Columbia Icefields, Mistaya Canyon and Athabasca Falls. Look out for wildlife as we explore the back roads around Jasper before heading back to the rustic Athabasca Falls hostel. It’s another great night by the campfire in a remote location with a star-filled sky, if you're lucky you may be able to see the Northern Lights!

  • Reservations for tonights accommodation are made at the HI Athabasca Falls
  • It’s another day of jaw dropping vistas and scenic hikes as we make our way along the Icefields Parkway. Stops today include Parker Ridge (seasonal) and Peyto Lake. The tour today finishes in Banff, where you get a chance to explore the great nightlife, or relax at the Banff hot springs. (Dinner included).

Moose reserves a single bed per passenger in shared hostel dorm rooms. You simply pay for your bed when you arrive at the hostel or you can purchase the optional Accommodation Package.

    1. Bring proper clothing for the tour. The weather in Canada is predictable, but changes in temperature can occur throughout the day depending on location (this is especially true in the mountains or during the spring and fall months elsewhere). Find out what else to bring on our FAQ page.
    2. If possible bring a credit card with you while traveling. Credit cards can be used as identification and for making deposits on rentals if needed.
    3. Don't forget your camera - we will guarantee that you will want to take photos of new friends, beautiful scenery and wild animals!
